Ribbon in the Wild: Embellish the thought

South Seas Fiji close-up, stitched by Jane of Chilly Hollow blog, canvas designed by Leigh Designs

I ran across this creative use of ribbon as embellishment on Chilly Hollow Needlepoint Adventure blog by Jane.  She uses the silk ribbon to string the agate beads because it’s stronger and more durable than regular beading thread.  As a beader myself, I heartily agree with this choice.

Check out the full project here.  The comments are great.

Thanks, Jane, for the mention!

One Response to Ribbon in the Wild: Embellish the thought

  1. My pleasure. The ribbon was perfect in color and in strength to hold the heavy beads and tying the leftover ribbon ends into a bow finishes my design perfectly. I was just lucky I had the ribbon put away in my stash when I needed it!
