Ribbon in the Wild: Cha Cha at Chilly

from Cha Cha by Leigh Designs, stitched by Jane at Chilly Hollow

Here is the latest finished project stitched by Jane at Chilly Hollow Needlepoint Adventure blog- “Cha-Cha” from Leigh Designs.  I love reading about stitchers’ experiences with the ribbon and what they discover during the process.  Because of the nature of silk ribbon, you can achieve effects unknown in other fibers, as Jane found, “silk ribbons make fantastic, fairly realistic feathers and wings”.  Read more on her blog here.

Thank you for the mention!  I can’t wait to see what you do next!

Me, either. I never know how a painted canvas will work out when I start. That’s part of the adventure!

River Silks’ ribbons were just perfect for the parrot on Cha-Cha. I never knew that silk ribbon does such lovely feathers. Thank you.
