“I thought that you might like to see some of what I do with your beautiful ribbons….this piece is brand new and is for EGA National Seminar 2008 in Louisville, KY. It has not been taught yet. It is called Beautiful Birches, and is a combination of sheer and opaque fabrics (bonded to a white soft Congress cloth ground), pearl cottons, floss, novelty threads, 4 mm and 7 mm River Silks ribbons, Very Velvet, and paper. Hope you like it”.
“....it was a bit of a challenge to get the depth and perspective that I wanted, but I used lots of 4 mm. darker shades of green ribbon for the ‘under’ sections of the leaves to create shadows, and then created the light source with the brighter greens in 7mm ribbon……I LOVE your ribbons, and have done lots of pieces with them”.
