 “RIVER SILKS, The Book!
We asked for it and it’s finally here! “OOOOOH”, THE ESSENTIALS OF
NEEDLEPOINT WITH RIVER SILKS, by Paul F. Krynicki, is now available
through RIVER SILKS LTD. Paul guides the stitcher through his
fabulous stitches and illustrates his secrets to very lush
canvas embellishment. It’s a very readable primer which
de-mystifies working with silk ribbon and serves as a great
       reference and teaching tool.
This is a classy publication using top quality paper, color photos
and a durable vinyl cover which lies flat. Packaged with a piece of
canvas, a needle and a card of silk ribbon, the stitcher can
immediately try out the various techniques. It’s my suggestion
that no stitching library is complete without “OOOOOH!”.”

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT “OOOOOH” THE BOOK
WHAT NEEDLEPOINT NOW SAYS ABOUT “OOOOOH”:
“OOOOOH” THE ESSENTIALS OF RIBBON NEEDLEPOINT WITH WITH RIVER SILKS
“If you haven’t stitched with silk ribbon on canvas and even if you’re already using silk ribbon on canvas, this book is a great resource. It is an advertisement for River Silks silk ribbon and even comes packaged with a ribbon sample, canvas and a needle, but it is also chock full of wonderful ideas and stitching tips as well as great color photographs. This book presents techniques and possibilities that may be unique to the use of silk ribbon, beginning with some basic tips on how to work with silk ribbon on canvas.
The “Basic Stitches” chapter covers several basic canvas/fabric stitches that are recommended for use with silk ribbon.  There are no stitch diagrams, but good text explanations for each one; and these are basic stitches and these diagrams can easily be found in any stitch book in your library. In addition there are two chapters on “knots,” French and Colonial, with lots of helpful hints and suggestions for use as well as chapters on “ribbon stitch,” “getting creative,” and “special effects.”
The color photographs are all of canvases worked with silk ribbon and are truly inspirational, and the “Designer Credits” section identifies the pictured canvas designers. This great book will inspire you to start stitching ribbon, or challenge you to master more ribbon techniques for canvas work - a definite “must have” for your library.”
